On August 5, 2022, Meri Martirosyan, the leading specialist of the Project Implementation and Monitoring Department of the “Environmental Project Implementation Unit” State Agency of the Ministry of Environment, was on a working visit to Vayots Dzor and Kotayk regions within the framework of the project “Conservation and Sustainable Management of Land Resources and High Value Ecosystems in Lake Sevan Basin for Multiple Benefits”, developed by the United Nations Development Programme Office.
The representative of EPIU together with Gayane Karagebakyan, the coordinator of the UNDP project, Gagik Tovmasyan, the expert involved in the project-Head of the Department of Plant Growing of the Agrarian University, Anastas Aghazaryan, head of the Center for National Health Accounts-expert of the UNDP projects on climate change held meetings with the heads of a number of communities and consumer cooperatives included in the Pasture association.
During the meetings, the main components and directions of the project were discussed, and the beneficiaries of the project were presented with a module developed by Anastas Aghazaryan, the expert of the UNDP climate change project, the use of which allows any economic entity to calculate the level of profitability, yield of its economy, as well as predict the return on investment.
