In the frameworks of “Implementation of Land Degradation Neutrality concept in Ararat valley of Armenia” pilot project, the working group of “EPIU” on May 10, 2019, with a working visit has taken a trip to Narek community of Ararat marz. The main aim of the working was monitoring of the planting activities of wind power mitigating forest belts and passing the acquired ordinal batch of bio-humus. All the places, where was envisaged to plant forest belts were visited. 1,380 planting pits were prepared, where 300 poplars, 180 Koelreuteria paniculatas, and 900 dwarf walnuts were planted. The planted trees were also irrigated. The activities were fully incompetence with the terms of reference of envisaged conditions. It was planned to plant 2,300 fruit and decorative tree species in the communities. The activities relating to the plantation of wind power mitigating forest belts were discussed with the head of Community and Council members. Taking into consideration the weather conditions it was agreed to implement the rest of activities during autumn. In total 12,800 kg of bio humus was passed to the community.
