On April 4, 2022, a two-days Inception workshop of “Forest resilienece of Armenia, enhancing adaptation and rural green growth via mitigation” grant project lauched.
The eight-year project is funded by the Green Climate Fund with co-financing from the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Austrian Development Agency, the World Wide Fund for Nature Armenia, the Autonomous Region of Bolzano and the Food and Agriculture Organization.
The “Environmental Project Implementation Unit” State Agency is responsible for the implementation of a number of activities established by the components of the project.
The Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan, Deputy Ministers of Environment Anna Mazmanyan, Aram Meimaryan, Acting Director of the EPIU Armen Yesoyan, Acting Deputy Director Armen Khojoyan, heads and employees of the Project implementation and monitoring and Cooperation with donors departments, as well as representatives of the FAO, ADA, WWF Armenia, the Autonomous region of Bolzano, representatives of ministries, regional and local authorities, representatives of NGOs and other invited persons participated in the workshop.
The main objectives of the Inception workshop are:
- present the details of the project, as well as the work plan for the first year of implementation,
- get the position and consent of interested parties to clarify the ways and schedule of the project.
