Grant Project Description and Development Objectives
The objective of the Project Preparation Grant (PPG) is the development of the “RESILAND: Armenia Resilient Landscapes Project”. The activities, financed with the PPG will help produce key environmental and social (E&S) and fiduciary documents as well as some technical studies as part of Project preparation and will comprise of the following:
- Fiduciary documents. This part will cover consultant services for the preparation of the Project Procurement Strategy for Development (PPSD), Procurement Plan (PP), and the Project Operations Manual (POM), and the services of an audit firm.
- Environmental and Social Assessments. This part will finance consultant services for the preparation and consultation of the E&S risk management tools/documents and plans for the Project, and environmental and social elements in the POM. Preparation of the E&S documents includes development of: (i) Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP); (ii) Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP); (iii) Labour Management Procedures (LMP); (iv) Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs), including guidance on undertaking site investigations for abandoned mine sites and E&S screening procedure for activities to be defined and designed during Project implementation.
- Needs Assessment. This part will cover consultant services to carry out the Needs Assessment to inform the Project design and activities, its overall work plan, and approaches by identifying targeted activities and prioritizing the resources available.
- Lab Analysis / Soil tests for the abandoned mine dumpsites. This part will finance the cost of laboratory tests for the identified abandoned mine dumpsites in Syunik (Bashkent) and Lori (Tandzut).
