On April 4, 2022, a two-days Inception workshop of “Forest resilienece of Armenia, enhancing adaptation and rural green growth via mitigation” grant project lauched.
The eight-year project is funded by the Green Climate Fund with co-financing from the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Austrian Development Agency, the World Wide Fund for Nature Armenia, the Autonomous Region of Bolzano and the Food and Agriculture Organization.
On April 9, 2022, employees of Project implementation and monitoring and Cooperation with donors departments of the Environmental Project Implementation Unit, together with the expert of the project “Sterngthening land based adaptation capacity in communities adjacent to protected areas in Armenia” Karen Manukyan and the environmental risk management specialist of the project Sona Galstyan, paid a working visit to Khachardzan administrative district of Dilijan enlarged community in order to supervise the construction of an irrigation network.
On April 9, 2022, Acting Director of the Environmental Project Implementation Unit Armen Yesoyan, Acting Deputy Director Armen Khojoyan and employees of Project implementation and monitoring and Cooperation with donors departments went on a working visit to Tavush region, where they took part in tree planting organized by the Green Lane NGO at the Hovk Green Training Center as part of the campaign dedicated to the International Day of Forests in the framework of the EU4Youth SEED program.
On April 8, 2022, Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan paid a working visit to the “Environmental Project Implementation Unit” State Agency.
The Minister held a discussion meeting with the heads and employees of the departments to get acquainted with the progress and results of the ongoing and planned projects.
