On May 30, 2019 in “Central Hotel Yerevan” took place the concluding seminar of “Improvement of Specially Protected Nature Areas (SPNA) management system of the Republic of Armenia through strengthening of international cooperation and capacity building of SPNA managing staff” project funded by the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Armenia. During the seminar, the elaborated and published miscellanea in the frameworks of the project were also presented. The employees of Ministry of Nature Protection, «Arpi Lake» and «Dilijan» National Parks, «Zangezur» Biosphere complex, «Khosrov Forest» State Reserve, «Erebuni» Reserve-Park Complex, «Zikatar» Environmental Center, also the representatives of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Armenia, CNF and UNDP Armenian offices were present.
In the welcoming speech, the director of «EPIU» SA M. Galstyan mentioned about the significant impact of project on the awareness and knowledge increase of the training participants. Afterwards, the head of eco-educational project unit R. Shahazizyan presented results of the project and «Natural and Cultural Values of Specially Protected Nature Areas of Armenia» miscellanea, and then the lawyer of «EPIU» SA A. Mkrtchyan has presented the «Compilation of Legal Acts Regulating Specially Protected Nature Areas of the Republic of Armenia».
At the end of seminar, the «Compilation of Legal Acts Regulating Specially Protected Nature Areas of the Republic of Armenia» (7 samples) and «Natural and Cultural Values of Specially Protected Nature Areas of Armenia» (30 samples) were provided to the representatives of the SNCOs’ regulating the Specially Protected Nature Areas of Armenia.
