A three-day course funded by the TAIEX tool of the European Union for the capacity building of employees of MoE and EPIU

On June 15-17, 2022, with the financing of the TAIEX instrument of the European Union, an expert mission and a three-day course were organized within the framework of cooperation between the “Environmental Project Implementation Unit” State Agency of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia and the Environmental Projects Management Agency of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania.

The mission was aimed at sharing best practices in the context of environmental project management. For this purpose, the Deputy Director of the Environmental Projects Management Agency of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, Dainius Kazlauskas, arrived in Armenia.
During the three-day course, which was attended by about 30 employees of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia and EPIU, Mr. Kazlauskas presented the functions, structure, scope of activities of the Environmental Projects Management Agency, those areas and opportunities that can be used to expand cooperation between organizations.
As part of the mission, Mr. Kazlauskas also had the opportunity to visit the territory of the pilot project “Artik city closed stonepit Waste and Flood Management”, carried out by the Environmental Project Implementation Unit with funding from the United Nations Adaptation Fund, and get acquainted with the ongoing work.
