On May 25, the working group of the “Environmental Program Implementation Unit” State Agency in the head of Director, M. Galstyan conducted a working visit to Urtsadzor community of Ararat marz. A discussion on “Implementation of Land Degradation Neutrality concept in Ararat valley of Armenia” project took place in the community administration. The purpose, tasks and peculiarities of the pilot program were presented to the community leader and specialists. Community representatives highlighted the importance of the program and expressed readiness to support at all stages of project implementation. Accompanied by the head of community the possible areas to be included in the program were considered, in particular orchards for the introduction of drip irrigation, sections for forest establishment along the roads and arable lands to be fertilized with biohumus.
